Aerospace Engineering Solutions (AES) is a certified EASA Part 21J Design Organisation (DOA) (EASA.21J.722), General Civil Aviation Authority (DOA/181) and Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA/AW/AE/I0151/R1) holder delivering projects ranging from minor engineering changes to full aircraft retrofits for commercial and private jet aircraft, leasing companies and MRO’s worldwide.

Founded in 2001 and with locations in the UK, Ireland and Spain, Aerospace Engineering Solutions has seen significant growth and evolved into a centre of excellence to the aviation industry. Our extensive global presence ensures the provision of pioneering and budget-conscious design and engineering solutions to the aerospace sector, upheld by a foundation of safety, adaptability, and exceptional customer service.

Our technical capability is reflected within our comprehensive Regulatory Authorities Approval Schedule and all programs are managed to the highest engineering standards without compromising safety or budget. Using the very latest in Computer Aided Design technology, solutions to all aerospace requirements can be provided in a variety of electronic and paper formats to suit individual purposes.

From its inception, AES has maintained its design approval, beginning with UK CAA BCAR approval, leading to JAR 21 approval following greater European integration, to our current EASA Part 21J design approval obtained in August 2004 and GCAA approval obtained in July 2017. Our DOA approvals, capabilities, and experience, along with our strategic collaborations allow us to offer complete turnkey solutions whilst maintaining a focus on excellent customer service.

Andrew Dolby

Andrew Dolby

Director

Andrew Dolby holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire. He is an original founder member of AES at its incorporation in September 2001 taking on the position of Design Manager, and now Director.

Previously, Andrew completed undergraduate training at British Airways and developed his career at Inflight Engineering Design Office in 1994 where he obtained CAA Form 4 Design Approval.

As Company Director of AES, Andrew holds the position of Cabin Safety and Structures CVE and has prepared and managed STC’s and Minor Modifications on a variety of aircraft types with a focus on Cabin Safety.

Anton Heissig

Anton Heissig

Director, Head of Design & Head of Office of Airworthiness

Anton Heissig holds a degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire. He is a founder member of AES at its incorporation in September 2001 as Avionics Design Manager and now holds company directorship as Head of Design, Head of Office of Airworthiness and is an Avionics CVE.

He started his aerospace career with Inflight Engineering Services at Stansted Airport in 1995 working as a project Engineer on C-130 nacelle construction and joined their design office in 1997.

As Company Director of AES, Anton has been involved in multiple STC’s and Minor Modifications and has experience of multiple aircraft types with a focus on Avionics and Electrical installations.

Lola Lahoz

Lola Lahoz

Design Office Manager & Deputy Head of Office of Airworthiness

Lola Lahoz holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Seville and has graduated through the AES development program having demonstrated sound technical ability and expectational team ethic.

She began her career at AES in airworthiness and aerospace certification within the EASA Part 21J environment as a design and certification engineer, developing project management skills and leading minor mods, STC’s with a focus on avionics and electrical installations in numerous types of fixed and rotary wing. Lola is currently broadening her scope in airworthiness by studying for a MSc in Airworthiness at Cranfield University, UK.

Together with her business management skills, industry knowledge and her drive for AES international growth, means she is successful in setting high standards and client satisfaction in the Andalusian aerospace sector.

Jon Evans

Jon Evans

AES Group Quality Manager

Jonathan Evans has a Diploma in Quality Management Systems and qualified as a Lead Auditor. Jonathan is the Chief Independent Monitoring Engineer and Quality Manager for the AES Group. After joining AES in 2003 he became the IME in 2005 after becoming a Form 4 holder.

Jonathan is part of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for all quality matters for UK, Ireland and Spain including implementing and maintaining the company SMS, QMS, EASA Design Handbook and continued DOA approval.

Jonathan has enabled AES to obtain GCAA (UAE), ECAA (Egyptian) Design approval as well as achieve ISO 9001:2015 approval for the Production Workshop.

Natalie Cooper

Project Co-Ordinator

Natalie Cooper joined the company in 2006 and has progressed her career from Design Engineer, producing engineering packages for our customers to Project Co-Ordinator.

With exceptional communication skills, Natalie coordinates all projects coming into the business, from compiling estimates, arranging resources, and communicating with our customers to provide a smooth project process.

Natalie’s keen interest and skills in aerospace engineering and longevity in the aviation industry, mean she is successful in building strong customer relations, she manages all the engineering packages for AES customers.
